The Mission

Drone-flown radiometric thermal imaging captures the entire solar array during peak operating conditions, identifying defective modules, bypass diode failures, junction box faults, potential-induced degradation (PID), and thermal anomalies at the cell, module, and string level.

Following IEC 62446-3 methodology, surveys are conducted at minimum irradiance thresholds with the system operating under load. Each anomaly is GPS-tagged with module-level precision, classified per the standard’s defect categories, and mapped to the array’s string configuration for maintenance targeting.

Deliverable is a defensible PDF report with executive summary, methodology, irradiance and array operating conditions during the scan, annotated thermal and RGB imagery per anomaly, module-level fault registry with string association, and prioritized O&M recommendations. Format is accepted by O&M contractors, insurance carriers, and warranty administrators.

Reports delivered within 48 hours of flight. Best for commercial rooftop and ground-mount arrays. Utility-scale engagements available through consortium partnerships.
